A house in the heart of Bucharest
Behind the façade of Strada Domnița Ruxandra lies a house that doesn't quite resemble a restaurant. Ici et Là has deliberately preserved this layout: several small rooms rather than one large dining room, each with its own character.
You move from one dining room to the next, settle in by a window or in a more discreet corner, and on fine days, the house extends onto the terrace. This layout is part of Ici et Là's identity and gives it that private feel that our regulars know well.

Chef Philippe Dupré
The craftsman behind the kitchen
A graduate of the École hôtelière de Dardilly, near Lyon, Philippe Dupré built his career in France and abroad, notably in England and Saint-Barthélemy, at Eden Rock. He also worked in a Michelin-starred establishment before becoming the owner of his own restaurant in France, then opening Ici et Là in Bucharest in 2009.
But his cuisine also draws on his childhood memories. From a very young age, he cooked alongside his mother and grandmother. It was beside them that his pleasure in cooking and his attachment to a family-style, authentic French cuisine were born.
At Ici et Là, everything is homemade, respecting traditional recipes and with a taste for work well done. An authentic and flavorful French cuisine, nourished by his experience as a chef yet still faithful to the flavors of his childhood.

Carefully chosen products, homemade preparations and precise gestures: in the kitchen, every detail counts right up to the moment of serving.
The aperitif & the wine cellar
To start the French way: a Ricard, a kir or a glass of wine... As for the cellar, a selection of French wines, from the Loire to Bordeaux, from Burgundy to Alsace, accompanied by a few fine Romanian bottles from Dealu Mare.

Intimate atmosphere
Ici et Là welcomes you into three small dining rooms with a warm, intimate atmosphere, in the spirit of a French bistro. Soft lighting and a few French songs in the background create a warm, friendly and relaxed ambiance, where you simply feel good.
Our terrace
On fine days, enjoy our terrace, in peace and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A small peaceful corner in the very heart of Bucharest, for lunch or dinner outdoors. When night falls, the lights grow softer, the candles are lit and the terrace comes into its own.

Since 2009, Ici et Là has brought authentic French cuisine faithful to its traditions to life in Bucharest. Over the years, the restaurant has grown with its customers, many of whom have been with us for a long time. This loyalty remains, even today, our finest reward.
